Ubin (part 2)

It was very dark at ard 11pm or so.We onli had like 2 torches so 1 for the person guiding the path & the other for the person shining the path for us at the back. Joshua was brave enough to be the last guy at the back. Sometimes he frightened me & puik when he suddenly stops & turn abruptly with his shoe making a loud screech sound against the sand. I only focused on the path towards me & did not care about the surroundings, more like i dun wanna noe.

Actually some of our members saw Moo putting this thing here while we stopped along the bridge. So we sort of know where to walk & not wander around aimlessly , phew.

&& whats inside is like the guidebook for the stars.

It tells us like how Scorpio looks like & etc.

We continued wif uno after we got back, in which playing uno in the dark was kinda impossible. Audrey brought out her headlamp & she starts wearing it. Then we made the first person to unogame to wear it. Edmund calls it 'Light Of Glory', haha. So it was quite funny cos none of us wanna end our game becos we have to wear that uncomfortable thing on the head. PLUS it kinda restricts ur movement because u have to shine the light at the center so that everyone can continue the game :o

After that all of us lay down and looked at the stars. It was really bright & pretty, not cloudy & dim due to light pollution. I saw 'Scorpio' & 'Sagitarius' that nite! Accompanied with 'Hercules Belt' or smthign ;o Then I saw a few puny meteors at the stars. Sometimes i thought it was my eyes playing trick on me, but it wasnt.

At around 3-4am most of us went into the tents to sleep bud Moo, Nette & Joshua stayed out to look at the stars. Jus then Moo realised that he gave us the wrong direction to see the meteors & it was then the meteor shower just started. I also heard ginnette frantically screaming when she saw a 'Huge , long tail meteor' ;o Bud I was too tired & in the least bothered so i went back to seek rest in the tent against the hard & uncomfy rocks :(

We brought out our tidbits and ate it as breakfast. We chat & hid from the mosquitos in the tents. Me, Puik , Xueni & Edmund was amused at how Moo was waking Ginnette. She wouldnt budge even thou he shook her violently, push her up to a sitting position or told her that there were birds around. LOL ! After awhile everyone was up & we started packing a lil. As we were halfway there it started raining!

Me & edmund hid in the 2-3 person's tent while the rest hid in audrey's tent. We were dam bored & hot caused we sealed the tent. After awhile we opened a small hole & finally a loop to allow more ventilation. The sky cleared up & we saw a rainbow !. We packed up & then camwhored a little :D

We rode to another quarry but it was sort of closed. So we rode back to return the bikes.

When we were eating, the small flowers from the tree would drop when the wind blows. So it was kind of scary to see it drop into ur drink :/ After that guess what happened?

IT RAINED AGAIN.

Walao!! We took our umbrellas & hid at the Infomation area as there was this big sheltered area.

So from there we waited for the rain to stop. Our last destination was the farm with some animals in it. As the rain stopped we walked towards the farm.

Somehow there were some problems and the person in charge told us that we had to split into 2 groups to take the jetty. So, Puik,Edmund,Audrey & i was in 1 grp and Joshua,Xueni,Nette & Moo was in the other group. We took the boat first (:

The bus captain was kinda rude cos when edmund & puik ran out of the seats to see the view, he shouted like "OIE PAY MONEY' . Luckily Audrey paid for them first before we pay her one by one (: We reached S.g in a short time bud the second took pretty long. They encountered some problem becaused the captain thought that it was 3 of them, but actually it was 4 of them. Then there were some pinpointings from other Malay big grps which was kinda infuriating for them :/

Took 29 to tamp mrt & trained to Tiong. Bused to B.M & 131/272-ed home. :D

Jus then i realised how important cold water was ((:

Names of 'REALLY NEED TO THANK' people :

1. Audrey, for bringing lots of things(usually benefits us) with her & keeping our safety maximized.
2. Joshua, for walking alone at the back in the dark, protecting us in case of any events :/
3. Moo, for buying the lightsticks,sparkles & teaching us more about astrology.
4. Espilon, for asking me out to ubin & the fun time that we had (:

Basically thank you everyone for making this trip a much more enjoyable trip than I thought it would not be. (:

Ubin (part 1) (:

Was supposed to meet Epsilon, joshua& moo at tamp point. So i took a train dere, and realised puik was even later den me haha. Went to find dem && they spotted me at the escalator. Later then i knew that Audrey was there also :D They went to eat their lunch & we went to 'Giant' to wait for puik. After they bought their snacks we walked took 29 & walked to the jetty.

While looking for bikes, this catchy board caught my attention

Discussing the route to take.


We went to rent bikes overnight & we had to return them at 12pm the next day. It was 8 dollars each. Edmund took the couple bike to ride with xueni because she hasnt really mastered it :3 We took our different bikes & some of us took baskets to put our bags / water bottles in it. The we rode off to 'Secret Garden'.

Btw, all of us were really affected by the mozzies because they were relentlessly attacking us ! We spammed Audrey's herbal insect repellant + Moo's insect repellant + Josh's Moisturiser kinda repellant, Thriple protection haha :D

However, as we rode to 'Secret Garden' , the sky turned reali dark && it started pouring. We rode back quickly to the bicycle place & found a place to seek shelter & order some food as our dinner. But it was onli around 430, oh welll :D

The rain stopped after half an hour or so & we finshed our food. We went back to 'Secret garden' and finsh what we didnt accomplish.

We reached there & left our bags on the floor to take pics of the many varieties of plants & trees. There was also this suspicious well which maybe some residental Sadako lives there hahaha. Edmund & puik keep photobombing me when i was taking a picture of the well. :o && apparently ,the mosquitoes like black stuffs. There were like a bunch of them hovering around our bags ( as some of our bags were black).

We took like 45mins -1 hour walking the whole thing & then proceeded to the campsite which was really far away .

The toilet was dark when i walked near it, bud when i waved my hands over the sensor, it lit up ;o I went into the toilet to change to long pants as Moo said it would be cold at night. There was also no mirror in the toilet :/ Just as i finshed my business & was changing halfway of my pants, the light was cut. I panicked @*(&E#*(@^^*% !!!!!! I wanted to go out bud i was halfway wearing the longpants. I also wanted to scream for help but the girls were in the toilet. I closed my eyes, quickly finish wearing my pants & went out to wave my hands over the sensor again.

Such inconvienience due to the power-saving toilets );

Ubin was dark when it was around 7. We rode past rocky roads & bumpy stones slopes.

I was really afraid because i once rode down a rocky steep slope and fell off my bike. My relatives came to see how was I & they were shocked because they could see the flesh of my chin. My parents had to bring me back to sew the hole in my chin & the experience wasnt at all enjoyable. That was like when i was 7? But the scar was still there, 4-5 stitches i tink );

After a long sweaty & weary road, we reached our camping site!

Yea, those white specks at the danger sign were actually FLIES. Can you believe it? At first i thought it was dust or something but to my horror they were fliesssss ;O Which doesnt exclude the probability of mozzies :/ . We took sometime to set up the tents caz' it was pitch dark & setting up tents in the dark aint easy.

I helped a lil bit in erecting the tent and felt a sense of accomplishment when the tent was looking big & fat :D Moo & Josh laid some 'mat' over the stones so we could put our things & sit down. However, the stones were not ordinary stones lor. It was dam hard & pricky :/

Jus then , Moo said we have to do a nightwalk to find something he placed in the noon. It was with a red lightstick ! The darkness & tiredness :OOO

The eerieness of Ubin & the 7 of us have to walk a long trail down to get that mysterious thing that is beneficial for us, as he claims.
